Having Problems
Registering?

You must enable your machine to accept cookies in order to register.

Their are a number of reasons that prevents people from signing in, most of them are related to the use of cookies and/or firewall settings.

A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to your browser from a web site's computers and stored on your computer's hard drive.

A firewall is often a seperate program like Norton Internet, McAffee or ZoneAlarm, which can block cookies or running animation or scripts.

In all cases try to refresh/reload the banner/menu bar area first.

LoginScreen can be accessed but no reply.
Login replies with "invalid page request".

If you would like for us to register your information for you simply with the information and we will give you a password that you can change later.

Forgot password or userid
If you forgot your password or userid then use the "Password?" option in the login bar. This will first send a validation e-mail to check the identity. The e-mail message contains a validation link, pressing the link will send a second message with userid and temporary password.

Login Screen doesn't show up.
This can be a browser problem (see Login Screen can be accessed but no reply), but most likely this will be a firewall setting. Test this by temporarily disabling your firewall. Mind you that most of the times a firewall is a separte program, however some browsers or routers (like a cable router or a wireless router) have a build-in firewall. Most firewalls can be set to accept scripting, cookies, etc. from certain trusted sites. Please consult the manual of the firewall.

Login Screen can be accessed but no reply:
This can be a firewall problem (see Login Screen doesn't show up) but most likely this will be a browser setting. This will be related to the privacy or the security setting of the browser. Under the Privacy & Security category, click Cookies. (If no subcategories are visible, double-click Privacy & Security to expand the list.)
Define your cookie setting (click help for more information).

Login replies with "invalid page request" :
This means that the cookie already has been set with the information that you are signed in. You cannot be twice logged in on the same PC with the same browser, hence the message.

Try first to refresh or reload the banner/menu bar. Don't try the refresh/reload button of the browser menu, but move your mouse pointer within the banner area, right-click your mouse and choose refresh/reload from the "pop-up" menu. This should only refresh the upper part (frame) of your window. The menu-bar should reappear with your user id on the right.

The second option is to actually delete the cookie:
In Internet Explorer:
Go to Tools (menu bar), go to Internet Options,
Click on the General tab. Click on delete cookies
Refresh Banner/Menu bar (see above)
Netscape:
Open the Edit menu and choose Preferences.
Under the Privacy & Security category, click manage stored cookies. (If no subcategories are visible, double-click Privacy & Security to expand the list.). Delete the cvnewcomers.com cookie or all cookies.
Refresh Banner/Menu bar (see above)
