ATTENTION LEJEUNE ALUMNI
BASE PASSES WILL NOT BE MAILED OUT
Because of the elevated threat level, the base passes will need to be picked up at the Visitor’s Center aboard Camp Lejeune. When you enter the Visitor’s Center, identify yourself as part of the Lejeune High School Reunion Group. If you pre-registered, you have already been vetted (approved). They should have someone dedicated to handing out the passes so your wait should be minimal. You and your guests will need to show a photo ID to receive your pass. Once you have received your pass, you will not have to go through this step again. The passes are good for July 9-12 (Thursday-Sunday).
If you are driving, it is a good idea to make sure you have your insurance information and vehicle registration with you, just in case. You and your guests MUST have a photo ID on them AT ALL TIMES.
According to our Operations Specialist, Charles Broda: “The problem with a large mail out of this size is that if a pass got lost or didn't reach the attendee in time, because of the current policy, the base would not reissue a duplicate pass to that individual. These are normally hand delivered for that reason. I do apologize for the inconvenience.”
The passes should be ready in a couple days. I will let you know when they are available. You may pick up your pass as soon as they are available. If you will be coming in on Friday for the Golf Tournament or the Hall of Distinction ceremony, please head toward the base at least 45 minutes prior to the time of the event just to be safe.
I will still be mailing out the UPDATED REUNION PACKET. It contains an updated Schedule and Reunion FAQ. For those that have submitted alternate addresses, I will honor that request.
If you plan on paying when you get here, you need to fill out an ONLINE REGISTRATION BY SUNDAY, JUNE 28 if you want a base pass. If you do not register by then, you will need to ride with someone who has a pass.
I am so sorry for all this confusion. I swear … next reunion, we are going on a cruise!
