Bio

Left Lejeune in 1965; finished last two years of HS with uptight civilians in Bloomington, Minn; BA, MA, Mankato State College (Minnesota) 1971 & 1973; Ph.D. Michigan State University 1978; held faculty positions at UNC-Charlotte & Indiana State University; I have been at Southern Illinois University Carbondale since 1985.

Married 40 years to Gwen Lenz; two married sons Zach (35 years) & Aaron (32 years); one granddaughter Lauren (6 years). 

My work involves teaching and research on the spatial behavior of serial offenders and applying geographic information systems for analyzing and predicting crime.
